Video - Kodak s1220 in Action

We use Kodaks s1220 scanner for both our paid-for photo scanning service and our free photo scanning service.

We've just put up a video of our Kodak scanner in operation - here you can see our scanner working its way through a stack of photos. We've called it Scanning - the movie.

Fanning

I think I've become addicted to fanning. I noticed a line in the s1220 manual about fanning photos, so I started to do it.

Static. I thought the action of fanning was to reduce static electricity and stop misfeeds in photocopiers and laser printers, thereby reducing jams. But I've noticed that as I stand up fanning through handfuls of old photos quite a lot of dust and debris falls out. That stuff would otherwise be running through my Kodak scanner. In my view any single fleck of paper or bit of ancient sandwich that doesn't go near my s1220 is a major blessing.

So I'm fanning while I'm scanning. Try it.
